To register for the Home Haemodialysis rebate, you need to show:

  • You’re the registered owner or joint owner of the property.
  • The person receiving treatment, if that isn’t you, lives with you.
  • A letter from a medical practitioner or professional confirming you are:
    • Receiving treatment from a home dialysis machine; or
    • The parent or guardian of a person receiving treatment from a home dialysis machine.

If you’re eligible for the Home Haemodialysis rebate, you’re also eligible for the Life Support Rebate.

Are you using an electrically-operated life support machine?

The Life Support Concession can give you a rebate on your electricity bills, equal to the cost of 1,880 kWh of electricity per year. The rebate is calculated using the general domestic tariff of your retailer.

This rebate is paid quarterly.
