Origin today announced a $100,000 donation to support regional drought-affected communities through the Drought Angels organisation.

“In recognition of the ongoing hardship our rural communities are facing, Origin is pleased to make a donation of $100,000 to Drought Angels,” Origin’s Executive General Manager Corporate Affairs Samantha Stevens, said.

“This donation will support the valuable work Drought Angels does providing relief to our farming communities in New South Wales and Queensland.

“Origin and Drought Angels are also looking to initiate a significant, multi-year partnership to help the charitable organisation build its capabilities. Given the importance of Drought Angels’ efforts to regional communities we look forward to assisting its work,” Ms Stevens said.

Drought Angels Director Tash Johnston said the contribution would help the organisation continue to deliver financial support and local vouchers to farming families.

“Drought Angels is proud of how we provide tailored support to those doing it tough in rural communities and we encourage any farming families seeking assistance to contact us on (07) 4662 7371,” Ms Johnston said.
