First of three Beetaloo Basin exploration wells successfully spudded
Origin Energy Limited (Origin)*, as operator of the Beetaloo Joint Venture, has confirmed that the Kalala S-1 well in EP98, Northern Territory, was spudded at 20:00 hours Australian Central Standard Time on 14 July 2015.
Kalala S-1 is the first of three onshore wells drilled by the joint venture, and will target the Middle Velkerri formation to assess hydrocarbon saturation and reservoir quality.
It is expected the well will be drilled to a total depth of approximately 2,800 metres. The exploration permit is located 500km south-east of Darwin.

Origin expects to recognise non-cash charges for FY2021 and issues guidance for FY2022
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) expects to recognise non-cash post-tax charges of $2,247 million in its FY2021 Statutory Income Statement to be released with its full-year results on 19 August 2021. Origin has also issued guidance for FY2022.
