Business tariffs – electricity
Please review the conditions and definitions of supply before deciding the most appropriate tariff.
Prices and conditions quoted are applicable to electricity consumed on or after 1 July 2018.
*GST is a Commonwealth Government Goods and Services Tax.
General supply – Tariff 20
This tariff is suitable for all types of electricity usage. This tariff is not available with General Supply Tariffs 21 and 22, Farm Time of Use Tariffs 62 and 63 or Demand Tariffs at the same installation.

General supply – Tariff 22
High rate electricity is between 7am and 9pm Monday to Friday. Electricity used outside these hours is charged at the lower rate. It can be attractive to customers whose operation can be managed such that more of their total usage occurs at night and on weekends.
This tariff is not available with General Supply Tariffs 20 and 21, Farm Time of Use Tariffs 62 and 63 or Demand Tariffs at the same installation.

General supply demand (low voltage) – Tariff 41
This demand is affected by the amount of equipment being operated at the same time. No other tariffs are available for use in conjunction with Tariff 41. If you choose this demand tariff, then the whole installation has to be supplied on this tariff. Customers may be able to reduce their energy costs by moving non-essential load away from their peak usage period.

The charge applies to the nominal wattage of each lamp. This rate covers energy only and is included in the monthly operating charge as below which also includes charges for maintenance and the removal of the service. Installation charges are additional.
Non-domestic heating – time of use – Tariff 37 (Obsolescent)
No new customers will be supplied under this tariff. It is available only to customers taking supply under Tariff 37 at 30 June 2007.
This tariff covers a variety of non-domestic heating applications including electric storage water heaters, production of steam and other permanently connected heating loads of 4kW or more. Motors connected as an integral part of the heating equipment may be supplied at Tariff 37 rates provided they make up no more than 10% of the total heating load.

Transitional tariffs
The following tariffs are available as a transitional measure to assist customers in moving to alternative cost-reflective tariffs in the future. The transitional tariffs will be phased out no later than 30 June 2020.
General supply – Tariff 21 (Transitional)
This transitional tariff is available to existing customers only. It is only suitable for installations where the typical monthly consumption is under 330 kWh. This tariff is not available with General Supply Tariffs 20 and 22 or Farm Time of Use Tariffs 62.
This tariff can only be accessed by a residential customer if it is in conjunction with a primary residential tariff at the same NMI.

Farm time of use – Tariff 62 (Transitional)
This transitional tariff is available to existing customers only. It can only be accessed by a residential customer if it is in conjunction with a primary residential tariff at the same NMI. This tariff shall not apply in conjunction with Tariff 20, 21, or 22.
Peak rate electricity is between the hours of 7.00 am and 9.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. Electricity consumed outside these hours is charged at Off Peak rate.

Irrigation time of use – Tariff 65 (Transitional)
This transitional tariff is available to existing customers only. It is available for irrigation only. This tariff can only be accessed by a residential customer if it is in conjunction with a primary residential tariff at the same NMI.
The Peak rate is for electricity consumed in a fixed 12-hour, daily pricing (as agreed between the network owner (ENERGEX), Origin and the customer for periods 7.00am to 7.00pm or 8.00am to 8.00pm) Monday to Sunday inclusive. The Off Peak rate is for electricity consumed at other times.

Irrigation – Tariff 66 (Transitional)
