Natural gas price rise 1 July 2019

Origin’s natural gas prices rose on 1 July 2019 for our residential and small business customers in Western Australia.

We changed our WA natural gas prices on 1 July 2019 for our Origin residential and small business customers with supply addresses in WA. 

There was a price rise of 1.33% on our natural gas prices to align with the WA government’s regulated rate. You’ll see the price change on your natural gas bill after 1 July 2019.

 

The regulated rate set by the WA government on 1 July 2019 for natural gas prices in your region went up by 1.33%.  

The WA government regulates the natural gas prices for residential and small business customers who use less than 1TJ (one terajoule) per year, serviced by gas distribution systems in WA’s MidWest/South West area. 

You’ll see the price change on your natural gas bill from 1 July 2019.

 

We change our natural gas prices occasionally and will let you know when we do.

If you’re an Origin natural gas customer, you’ll receive a message about the price change on your first bill after 1 July.
