Hi, Michael and Vanessa from Origin here. Today we’re talking about moving out of home.

It’s an exciting time and we’re here to give you some tips to make sure you get it right. Be prepared prior to your move and contact us to arrange the connection of your services, because nobody wants to move in  to a house without electricity or gas.

And make sure you give your spare keys to a family member or friend so that way if you do get locked out, you’ve got someone who can come and rescue you.

Don’t forget about op shops. Filling your new cupboards with plates, bowls and cutlery doesn’t need to be costly. Check out your local op shop for anything you might need. And have a house warming party, get some mates together and get them to bring some drinks and snacks, that way you’ve got the party covered for costs and you don’t have to eat into next weeks rent.

Everyones different and living with mates can be a learning curve. Some people are tidy and some aren’t… But don’t let a few dirty dishes ruin your weekend.

The most important thing is not to forget your family. Although you may not be living with them anymore,  it’s very important that you still go to their house, take some of their stuff and raid their fridge!

Thank you.
