As the season heats up, so does our desire to while away our days by the water, and what better way to do that than with some style?

There’s nothing as quintessentially Australian as a day down the beach, followed by a BBQ and a few cold drinks. We’ve scoured the planet looking for the best five gadgets to complement a day in the sun. Here’s our final cut:
1. Rapid drink cooler
No day at the beach is complete without opening up either a warm can of soft drink or unintentionally taking in a mouthful of sand. While we can’t guarantee you that you’ll avoid the sand completely, this rapid drink cooler will keep your drinks super crisp and cold. It's lightweight and runs on batteries so is perfect for a day at the beach.
2. Solar Power BBQ
The perfect accompaniment to a nice cold drink is a wonderfully smoky BBQ. The only obstacle to brilliant beach nosh is having to carry your heavy equipment down to the sand. Now you can avoid smoke and spitting sausages with the Go Sun Stove, what’s even better is that it only weighs 3 kilos so it’s easy to carry.
3. Waterproof Bluetooth Speakers
It’s funny how music can evoke such strong memories. You hear a tune and instantly you’re transported to a different time and place. Now you can make memories without destroying your gear. The Fugoo Tough XL is a waterproof Bluetooth enabled speaker. The speaker can play from any Bluetooth enabled device, has a 35 hour battery life and is Google/Siri enabled. Protected in a polymer jacket with aluminium plating and stainless steel grills, Fugoo Tough XL is built to work and play as hard as you do.
4. Underwater Camera Dive Mask
Most of us now use our phones to take a perfect holiday shot, but, if you’ve got a hankering to take some beautiful shots while swimming, you’d be best to leave your phone on the beach. Lugging heavy underwater cameras around are also no fun, so it’s great to know that the team at Liquid Image have come up with an all-in-one Underwater Camera Dive Mask. The Hydra dive mask Model 305, is a scuba/snorkelling mask that has an inbuilt underwater camera allowing you to take those action shots hands-free. It’s depth certified to 40metres, has a built in wide-angle camcorder with inbuilt audio and is perfect for the explorer in all of us.
5. Dude where’s my Car/Keys/Wallet?
It’s the horror story we all want to avoid, losing your car keys or a wallet in the sand. So it comes as no surprise that there’s an app for that, and a cool little gadget called “Tile” to help you locate your lost items. So how does it work? Download the app to your phone and then purchase a tile (or a few). Hook the tiles to your important items like your keys or wallet. You can then call the tile from your phone or call the phone from your tile.
Now you’ve got your food, drinks, tunes and swimming sorted, the only thing left to do is get on down to the beach!
