Five innovative local energy start ups have been announced as the latest participants in Origin sponsored EnergyLab –Australia’s first accelerator of new business and technological initiatives moving the world towards a clean energy future.

Five innovative local energy start ups have been announced as the latest participants in EnergyLab – Australia’s first accelerator of new business and technological initiatives moving the world towards a clean energy future.
Having launched earlier this year, EnergyLab has already seen four start-ups participate in the business accelerator.
Joining the initial co-hort, are companies with technologies designed to support EVs, energy efficiency for homes and businesses, kick scooters, and solar PV.
Principal sponsor Origin is one of a range of organisations that will help provide support to these start-ups as they aim to grow their businesses and secure additional funding. .
“Many of the technologies that will shape the future of the Australian energy industry will come from local start-ups, and we are excited to welcome this latest cohort to EneryLab,” says Origin’s Tony Lucas, Executive General Manger, Future Energy and Business Development.

In addition to its investment in EnergyLab, Origin is a founding partner in the global energy accelerator Free Electrons, has presence in Silicon Valley, and established the O Hub in Melbourne dedicated to rapidly prototyping, developing and trialling new customer solutions.
