LGBTQIA+

Be an LGBTQIA+ ally.

As well as tagging each other in memes and catching up for dinner, being a good friend to someone in the LGBTQIA+ community also means being an ally – and that’s a whole different story.

An ally is someone who stands up for, supports and encourages the LGBTQIA+ community. Because if we want to live in a world where people are accepted without exception, we all need to be part of the solution.

It could start with something as simple as expanding your reading and watch lists, supporting queer businesses, becoming more conscious of your language or showing active support for your LGBTQIA+ workmates.

Like our Pride@Origin Network. A group of passionate employees who swap energy for equality and champion initiatives like gender affirming leave, learning programs and their own ally network. It’s all about making Origin an inclusive workplace and leading employer for LGBTQIA+ people.

Being an ally isn’t hard work, but it is rewarding.

All you need to do is start.
