Our Reconciliation Action Plan.
One of the ways Origin is making positive change, is through engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples – predominantly through our development of energy resources. The Origin Energy Foundation and our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), launched in 2015.
The release of our second RAP continues this important journey for Origin. Through our Stretch RAP, we are showing our commitment to participating in Australia’s reconciliation efforts and shifting from awareness to action through targeted activity across learning, spending and employment.
We invite all Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in their second last year of university studies to apply for our 2022 Indigenous Cadetships. Cadetships include the payment of tuition fees for your last year of uni, as well as up to $1,000 to spend on resources to help you with your studies.
After completing the paid, flexible 12-month role, you’ll have the chance to get a role in one of our teams at Origin, a $1,000 allowance for work related purchases and a connection into our Indigenous Employee Network for extra support.
