Origin to appoint Greg Lalicker to its Board
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) Chairman, Mr Gordon Cairns, today announced Mr Greg Lalicker has agreed to join the Origin board as an independent Non-executive Director, with effect from 1 March 2019.
Mr Lalicker is the Chief Executive Officer of Hilcorp Energy Company, based in Houston, USA. Hilcorp is the largest privately held independent oil and gas exploration and production company in the United States.
Mr Lalicker joined Hilcorp’s leadership team in 2006 as Executive Vice President where he was responsible for all exploration and production activities. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2018. Prior to working for Hilcorp, Mr Lalicker was with BHP Petroleum based in Midland, Houston, London and Melbourne as well as McKinsey & Company where he worked in its Houston, Abu Dhabi and London offices.
Mr Lalicker graduated as a petroleum engineer from the University of Tulsa. He also has a Master of Business Administration and a law degree.
Mr Cairns said, “We are delighted to welcome Greg to the board. Greg’s extensive industry and strategy experience, together with his global knowledge, will strengthen the Origin board and complements the skills of the existing directors.”

Origin progresses plans for nation’s largest battery at Eraring Power Station
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) is progressing plans for a battery at Eraring Power Station in NSW, with an overall capacity of up to 700 MW and a dispatch duration of 4 hours, making it the largest battery project currently under consideration in Australia.
