Audi Australia Pty Ltd and Origin Energy Limited (Origin) have today announced a partnership that will help owners of the new Audi A3 Sportback e-tron plug in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) further lower their impact on the environment.
Origin, which is Australia’s largest supplier of government accredited GreenPower, will join with Audi Australia to purchase displacements to cover up to the first 10,000km of grid-charged electric driving for Audi’s first PHEV offering in Australia.
“We are pleased to be Audi’s energy partner for the launch of its first plug-in hybrid vehicle in Australia,” said Phil Craig, Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs for Origin.
“Origin has a proud history as Australia’s leading provider of green power, and this agreement sees us partner with a leading luxury vehicle manufacturer to help Australians reduce the carbon footprint associated with their vehicle use.
“In addition to power solutions for electric vehicles, Origin is offering a range of products and services that will help Australians to power their homes more efficiently and sustainably in the future, including our existing solar solutions and our upcoming launch of home batteries.”
