Origin appoints Teresa Engelhard to its board
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) Chairman Mr Gordon Cairns today announced Ms Teresa Engelhard has joined the Origin Board as an independent Non-executive Director to fill a vacancy. Ms Engelhard also joins the Remuneration and People Committee.
Ms Engelhard has more than 20 years’ experience in the information, communication, technology and energy sectors as a senior executive and venture capitalist. Ms Engelhard started her career at McKinsey & Company in California spending over a decade in Silicon Valley before moving to Australian in 2006. More recently she has focused on emerging technology in the energy sector as a venture investor and board member. Teresa’s past directorships include Daintree Networks and Zen Ecosystems.
Ms Engelhard is also a Non-executive Director of RedBubble Ltd, Planet Innovation Ltd, StartupAUS, Redkite and is a member of Innovation and Science Australia’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme Committee.

Origin progresses plans for nation’s largest battery at Eraring Power Station
Origin Energy Limited (Origin) is progressing plans for a battery at Eraring Power Station in NSW, with an overall capacity of up to 700 MW and a dispatch duration of 4 hours, making it the largest battery project currently under consideration in Australia.
