Progress and Status:
Origin Energy, on behalf of the L11 Joint Venture, advises that the Weatherford drilling rig 826 is currently drilling the Redback 2 exploration well. This well is being drilled from the same surface location as Redback 1, drilled in 2004.
During the week a 4½” liner has been cemented in place over the lowermost 104m of hole to the total depth of 3,966m MDRT# (3,769 metres sub-sea). Perforation of the Wagina reservoir interval and completion of the well is expected to be carried out in August using Ensign Rig 5.
At 06.00 hours Western Standard Time the well was in the process of being suspended.
Rig 826 is expected to be released by the end of the week, at which time it will be moved to the Wolf 1 location, in the same permit. Wolf 1 will appraise the gas discovery made by the Redback South 1 well in September 2009.

Redback 2 is being drilled as a directional well to intersect the target Wagina reservoir at a subsurface location 380 metres NNW of Redback 1 at a prognosed vertical depth of 3,715 metres sub-sea.
