Queensland medical rebate
Cooling and heating electricity rebate from July 1 2010
The Queensland Government has introduced a new electricity concession to assist low-income Queenslanders who have specific medical conditions to meet the electricity costs they incur through frequent operation of an air-conditioner to regulate their body temperature.
Customers should be directed to the Queensland Community Services website for further information, including eligibility guidelines and the application process.

The rebate will commence on 1 July 2010.
