Frequently asked questions

Space heating

How big an area can space heaters heat?

Our space heaters come in a range of sizes and can heat a room from around 32m2 with a smaller unit, up to 90m2 in cold conditions with a larger unit. For a whole-home solution, you may wish to consider ducted heating.

Can I heat adjoining rooms?

Our Braemar wall furnace has an optional rear register kit which allows you to heat an adjoining room, effectively giving you two heaters for the price of one.

How often should my heater be serviced?

Periodic maintenance of your heater will help ensure optimum performance and a long and satisfactory service life. You should have your heater serviced on a yearly basis by an authorised person trained in the service of gas heaters.

What are the benefits of space heating over ducted heating?

Space heating is ideal when you only want to heat one or two rooms, thus reducing your gas consumption. A ducted system is designed to heat an entire house which may include rooms not being used.
