Energy efficiency in action

Manchester Primary School, Mooroolbark VIC – Year 5

We’ve learnt how to save energy in the home and the classroom, and we’re encouraging others to do the same.

To learn about energy efficiency, we:

• showed our classmates how they can save energy in their classrooms
• gave advice, such as ‘Put on a jumper before you turn on the heater’
• conducted energy audits with our checklists before leaving at the end of the day
• helped other students identify situations where they might unknowingly waste energy.

We’re encouraging others to use energy efficiently, by:

• sharing what we’ve learnt with other students as well as our families.
