Green superheroes

Tongala Preschool, Tongala VIC - Pre-primary

As green superheroes, we’re on a mission to save energy and encourage others to do same.

To learn about energy efficiency, we:

• looked at all the electrical equipment in our classroom and noted which things could be switched off when not in use.

We’re encouraging others to use energy efficiently, by:

• creating posters with tips and illustrations about saving energy and displaying them in classrooms
• telling our families what we’ve learnt at school and practicing energy wise behaviour at home
• writing energy efficiency tips for the school newsletter and community newspaper
• working with our local bank to swap old incandescent light bulbs for energy saving lights.
