Getting mobile for energy safety

Caningeraba State School, Burleigh Waters QLD - Year 6

After participating in Origin’s Energy Safety Week, we learnt that energy is an important part of our everyday lives and that we must be aware of energy safety issues at school and around the home.

To learn about energy safety, we:

• participated in Origin’s Energy Safety Week 2009 in August
• created mobiles with energy safety messages to hang in our classroom
• discussed how to avoid accidents with gas and electricity.

We’re encouraging others to use energy safely, by:

• sharing our mobiles with other students who visit our classroom
• displaying our mobiles for the local community at the Caningeraba Art Show.
