The easy way to help green your car
We can’t always avoid using our car, but we’ve made it easy for you to reduce your environmental impact, with our carbon offset car packages.
With the average small car producing over 2.5 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year*, you can now easily compensate for emissions generated from driving your car.
For the easy way to help green your car:
- Using the table below, select whether you’d like to offset a small, medium or large car, for 3, 6 or 12 months.
- You’ll then be able to purchase your selected package online via our new originecostore.com.au.
- We’ll send you a Carbon Offset card that you can display with pride.

To select the right car size:
- A small car has an engine size of less than 1.8 litres. E.g. Hyundai Getz, Toyota Yaris, Ford Festiva.
- A medium car has an engine size of between 1.8 and 3.0 litres. E.g. Holden Astra, Subaru Forester, Toyota Camry.
- A large car has an engine size of above 3.0 litres. E.g Holden Commodore, Ford Falcon, Toyota Prado.

- *Based on average car travelling an annual mileage of 13,700 km's (based on the national average travelled - Australian Bureau of Statistics, Survey of Motor Vehicle Use, 12 months ended 31 October 2007). Average car size is defined with a petrol engine between 1.8L to 3.0L and offsets the emissions associated with the fuel use of the car only. This calculation does not take into account the emissions associated with the manufacture, delivery or maintenance of the car.
