Community Ambulance Cover Levy

In Queensland, the Community Ambulance Cover Act 2003 imposes a levy on the supply and sale of electricity. This funding assists every Queensland resident to receive automatic cover for emergency ambulance services anywhere in Australia.

As an on-supplier, you’re liable to pay this levy for all places of residence or business to which you on-supply electricity. In some cases you may claim an exemption from paying the levy on electricity supplied in respect of any of your on-supply arrangements which fall within specific exemption categories.

Whenever the number of on-supply and exempt on-supply arrangements in respect of which you are the on-supplier changes, you must notify us of these changes within 28 days by completing the Community Ambulance Cover Form 21.

Electricity Rebate Scheme

The Queensland Government Electricity Rebate Scheme can assist eligible residents of residential home parks and other similar multi-tenanted residential premises in meeting their domestic electricity costs.

If you are on-supplying electricity to residential consumers who are pensioners, they may be entitled to a Queensland Government Electricity Rebate. To be eligible they must be a holder of a current and eligible Pensioner Concession Card, Repatriation Health Card or Queensland Government Seniors Card.

Making this electricity rebate available to your eligible residential consumers under the Queensland Government Electricity Rebate Scheme is as simple as completing the Application for Electricity Rebate Form 502 (for use by Proprietors of Residential Home Parks).

You must submit this form each time you pay your bill if you are making this rebate available to your eligible residential consumers. If this form is not submitted we are required to cease applying rebates to your bill until such time as the completed form is returned.
