Walloons development project

Origin is proposing to commence construction of works associated with the Walloons development project.

The majority of project work is within PL 226 which is approximately 20 kilometres west-south-west of Chinchilla Qld. Much of the infrastructure will be located on the Origin owned ‘Rockwood’ property, on the southern side of the Condamine-Kogan Road.

A gas plant, wells and gathering systems will be installed over a period of approximately three years to achieve production of up to 90 TJ/day of coal seam gas.

Origin has prepared an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in relation to the Walloons development project in accordance with relevant Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines. This EMP is available for public consultation from June 30 to mid August 2008.
