Victorian schools interested in reducing their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions can contact Origin to organise a school energy audit.

Energy audits assist schools to develop their environmental action plan.

What is an energy audit?
Energy audits are designed to help schools understand their energy use and provide realistic recommendations for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

There are two types of school audits:

Energy Efficiency Opportunity Survey (EEOS) - A ‘walk through’ audit to provide schools with basic recommendations for conserving energy, based on a school site inspection.
Level 2 (as defined in AS/NZS 3598:2000 – Energy Audits) - A formal and comprehensive energy audit, incorporating analysis of energy bills, inspections of equipment, buildings and practices. Schools receive a detailed report on their energy consumption and recommendations on how to save energy.
