What is Energy Safety Week?

Energy Safety Week is a free toolkit which can be used throughout the year and helps New South Wales, Queensland, South Australian and Victorian primary and pre-primary students
- understand how energy works
- keep safe when using gas and electricity
- learn about being safe around LPG.
Energy safety in the kitchen was the theme for 2009. Through activities and challenges, students learnt how to keep safe while using gas and electricity in the kitchen such as with stoves, ovens and appliances.
Each toolkit includes
- a comprehensive teacher’s resource
- interactive classroom activities
- stickers
- a poster
- magnets
- state curriculums connections
- support materials and worksheets to print or download
- Switched On™ students program.
