Can I swap any brand of LPG cylinder?
Yes. If your cylinder is eligible for swapping, any brand is OK.
How can I check if a cylinder is "eligible" for swapping?
Simply take your empty cylinder to the store attendant or cashier who will check the safety features and the condition of the cylinder.
What features are checked to determine an eligible cylinder?
To be eligible for swapping, the cylinder must have a functioning, upright gas valve and protective valve collar. It must also be free of rust damage, deep scratches or dents and have a foot ring in good condition. Filled Quick Swap cylinders are checked and filled by our trained technicians.
What if the cylinder is not eligible or I don't have a cylinder to swap?
No problem! Our Quick Swap New Starter option provides you with a filled cylinder to swap when it’s empty.
What if I want to change the size of the cylinder?
Where available, you can swap a large (approximately 9kg) cylinder for a small (approximately 4.5kg) cylinder, or a small for large. Just see the price list on the cylinder cage or ask a store attendant for details.
Who owns the cylinder?
The cylinder you return empty belongs to Quick Swap and the filled cylinder you pay for belongs to you. In effect, the ownership swaps when you swap the cylinder.
Can I still swap a cylinder if it is past the "test date"?
Yes, provided the cylinder is eligible as described above.
